My learning

This week I have been learning about more poems. I have been writing a cinquain poem. A cinquain has the structure of having 2 syllables, 4 syllables, 6 syllables, 8 syllables and 2 syllables. This is my cinquain poem.

Rainfall
Wet, very stuffy
Falling, flowing, settling.
Falling gently down someone"s roof.
Wetness!

My learning

This week is my first week back from the holidays. On Thursday we had our first swimming lesson for term 4. It was fun. Our strokes where freestyle and back stroke. This week we have been learning about Structures and how they are made. We also have been learning about right angles in maths.

Blogging workshop

On Friday 5th of September in the afternoon we had a lesson on blogging. I learnt how to put things up on my blog on my own.

My Learning

This week I have been learning about a man in school called Hundertwasser in art lessons. He really liked lines that were not straight. Lots of people thought he was crazy so we did a painting of his buildings. I have also been learning about a square number. That means just times the number by itself like 3x3=9. Also this week we have been doing a hundred word test. We did the same test in semester 1. Every Monday we have been having a basic facts test. In maths we have also been learning about grams and kilograms. That's all for now.

My learning

This week I have been reading myths and legends for a project on them. In it, we have 14 different activities we have to choose from to complete for each myth and legend. We have also been learning about Habits of Mind, like the habits scientists should have. We have done 2 science experiments called dancing sultanas and exploding canisters. That's what we have done in some lessons this week.

My learning in Term 3

This week I have been doing lots of work. On the 1st of August we have had open night. It was in our brand new school plaza. It was not as busy as the last open night because there were not as many people as last time. Every classroom was open for any body to come and have a look at all the work we have done and there was lots of different types of food to buy. There were lots of choirs.

My learning this week

This week I have done a lot of work. We learnt what fractions are. Every day we have been
doing spelling dictation. We have been learning about myths so we are reading a book
called Maui and the Sun. We have also watched a You tube video called Maui vs the Sun.
We have done pantings on a Maui and the Sun. We have done a lot of other things as well.
